Pope John Senior High School Basketball Coach James Okine has stated his side is ready to play hard in the 2020 Sprite Ball Championship.

He made this statement in an exclusive chat with Basketballghana.com during the Sprite Ball Championship Clinic held at the University of Ghana (UG) Legon Campus earlier today. UG’s Jean Nelson Hall is the camp base for the 20 participating schools.

Okine returned to Pope John prior to the start of the qualifiers and guided Pope John to another Eastern Region title. Okine led Pope John to two bronze medals and a fourth place finish in three years.

Speaking to Ghana’s biggest basketball portal Okine said, “The experiences to talk about, it has been great and I have learned a lot from past experience and I think this year we are coming very hard to play and have fun whatever happens happens”.

Pope John is in Group C with PRESEC-Osu and Adisadel College; the top two teams progress to the quarterfinals.
