Kumasi Girls Senior High School (KGEE) is in line to win its third Sprite Ball Championship in a row with the team set to star in the upcoming edition next year.
The 2020 Sprite Ball takes place from January 3-4 at the El Wak Stadium in Ghana’s capital, Accra with 12 schools competing in the Boys Division and eight schools competing in the Girls Division.
KGEE is one of eight schools competing in the Girls Division and has won back to back titles to confirm their status as the best in the division.
Kumasi Girls beat Accra Wesley Girls High School 30-29 in overtime to win its first ever title at the celebrated competition in 2018.
A second title came after beating Mfantsiman Girls 22-14 to win the 2019 edition and equal the feat of T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School.
To accomplish the unprecedented mark of winning three title on the bounce, KGEE would have to overcome the loss of key players including MVP winners Rose Yeboah and Abigail Gyamfi.
