University of Mines and Technology (UMAT) and Sekondi College (SEKCO) will compete in the Western Basketball Association (WBA) XMAS Basketball Tournament Basketballghana.com can confirm.
The two institutions join teams in the WBA League for the one day competition to celebrate the Christmas holidays; the game is scheduled to be played at the Takoradi Technical University (TTU) Court.
The competition takes place at the aforementioned venue on Saturday, December 28 with 10 teams due to participate including UMAT and SEKCO.
SEKCO recently qualified to the 2020 Sprite Ball Championship to be played in January next year; St. John’s School will participate in tomorrow’s tournament after qualifying to Sprite Ball alongside SEKCO.
UMAT and SEKCO face off in the opening round of games with St. John’s taking on Vikings; Bikat plays Oil City Kings and Eff-Ess plays Dark Elite.
TTU Oilers then take on the winner of the St. John’s-Vikings matchup while Legends take on the winner of the SEKCO-UMAT matchup.
The competition tips off at 8 in the morning.
