Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (PRESEC-Legon) has emerged winners of the Africa Basketball Festival Senior High School Tournament.
PRESEC beat Tema Senior High School 18-14 in the final game; the Festival is taking place at the Bukom Arena in Ghana’s capital, Accra.
The Blue Magicians emerged victorious in an exciting game that thrilled fans at the venue in the build up to the All Star Game between Tema and Accra.
PRESEC Legon and St. Thomas Aquinas Senior High School represented Accra in the High School competition while Tema and Chemu Senior High School represented Tema.
St. Thomas Aquinas lost 16-20 to PRESEC in the preliminary stage with Tema beating Chemu 16-7 with the winning teams progressing to the final game.
The competition is one of three events to be held prior to the main event; representatives from Team and Accra will compete in the three point shooting contest, ladies free throw shooting contest and slam dunk contest.
This is the maiden edition of the Africa Basketball Festival.
