Nana Bissue Yankah of Dynamics in action against Braves

Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I Director Alex Kukula has stated the upcoming All Star Game “brings back” the rivalry between Tema and Accra.

He made this statement in an exclusive chat with Basketballghana.com ahead of the eagerly awaited matchup at the Africa Basketball Festival on December 24 at the Bukom Arena.

The Christmas Eve Festival celebrates basketball in Ghana as some of the West African nation’s best players assemble to entertain fans.

On the sidelines of the final training session of Team Accra, Kukula who doubles as Manager of the Team, said:

“It’s a very good initiative now that we’ve finished the league it is a very good avenue for the players to keep active and especially when it involves Accra and Tema it’s been an old rivalry so it’s good to bring it back”.

Team Accra recently replaced Braves of Customs Forward Daniel Aryee with Adabraka CYO Center Melody Edwards; Aryee helped Braves win the 2019 league title.

Despite Aryee’s absence, Braves have the most representatives in the team (four) headlined by MVP Award winner Suleman Abubakar.
