Debutants in the 2019 Tema Community Basketball League have secured spots in the playoffs with the regular season set to conclude this weekend.
On Sunday, December 22 at the Tema Community 4 Court, two games will mark the end of the regular season and start the countdown to the commencement of the postseason.
Three teams played in the league for the first time this season; Spintex Knights, Tema Wildcats and Sakumono Titans joined the league and all three have progressed to the playoffs.
Knights ended its run in the regular season in third place with 14 wins in 22 games and barring a big win from Tema Rockets against second ranked Tema Community 4 this weekend.
Titans played its final game this past weekend against Tema Heat but lost 34-39; despite the loss, Titans rank seventh in the standings.
Wildcats beat Francophone All Stars 39-35 to seal its place in the playoffs; Wildcats could move from eighth to seventh place should the team beat Teshie Vikings on Sunday.
