Reigning Tema Junior High School Basketball Tournament Champions Hermann Gmeiner School (SOS) lead the way in the preliminary stage of the 2019 edition.
The upcoming edition of the annual competition comes off at the Fountain Head Christian School in Tema on Friday, December 20.
The draw to determine groups for this year’s competition was done recently and had SOS drawn in Group A alongside St. John Bosco and Datus International School.
Alsyd Academy, St. Martin De Porres and Rosharon Montessori are in Group B with Life International School, Tema Parents Association School and host Fountain Head Christian School drawn in Group C.
First Star Academy, Queens Land International School and Seventh Day Adventist School are in Group D; the top two teams in each group qualify to the quarter final stage.
The successful teams progress to the semifinals and finals to determine this year’s winner. Unlike last year’s edition, the 2019 competition has four teams competing in the Girl’s Division.
Basketballghana.com understands a special ballot will determine the fixture list. Below is a full list of groups:
