Week 7 of the Western Basketball Association League games concluded successfully at the Takoradi Technical University (TTU) Court on Sunday.
Two games were honoured at the league venue including one that featured home side TTU Oilers in the opening game against Dark Elite.
Oilers produced 42-22 win over Elite with the former winning all quarters en route to a straight forward win. TTU led the first quarter 9-5 and extended its lead at the end of the first half with a 17-8 result.
Oilers Center Mustapha Ahmed produced the game’s highlight moment in the half after scoring a fast break layup while displaying deft ball handling on the drive.
Dark Elite improved in the third quarter but aback to back put back dunks from Ahmed had TTU pull away for the 20 point win.
The follow up game had Oil City Kings beat Eff-Ess 58-21 on the back of a 23-7 first half lead; Christopher Appiah and Kevin Morrison did the heavy lifting on offense for Kings.
Mutaka Ibrahim scored six points for Eff-Ess in the third quarter with Henry Asamoah getting points for Kings from the free throw line.
Kevin Morrison and Mustapha Ahmed were named Game MVP winners. Next on the itinerary is the “XMAS Tournament” on December 28 before the second round of the league resumes.
