2019 Sprite Ball Bronze Medalist Shama Senior High School

Qualification games to the 2020 Sprite Ball Championship in the Western Region takes place on Saturday, December 14 in the region’s capital, Sekondi-Takoradi.

The Sprite Ball is Ghana’s biggest High School Basketball Tournament and the next edition runs from January 3 to January 4, 2020 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.

20 schools will battle in the tournament with 12 schools set to feature in the Boys Division and eight schools set to feature in the Girls Division.

A host of schools are set to headline the qualifiers with former bronze medal winners at the national level St. John’s School and Ahantaman Senior High School participating.

Former Sprite Ball representatives from the region including Takoradi Technical Institute, Ghana Senior High Technical School and Shama Senior High School will compete in the qualifiers for a place at the national stage.

Two qualification spots are up for grabs in the Boys Division and there is a sole qualification spot to battle for in the Girls Division.

Similar qualifiers are to be played on Saturday in the Eastern Region.
