Volunteers set to be involved in the upcoming Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Games have undergone training Basketballghana.com can confirm.
The training session took place earlier today at the University of Ghana (UG) Legon Campus; UG’s Legon Campus will host the multi sport competition in January next year.
The next GUSA Games run from January 3 to January 19, 2020 with a host of athletes expected to participate in the biannual games.
The event had a large turnout with several young individuals participating in the training process to ensure the successful run of the 26th edition of the GUSA Games.
Host UG are defending champions in Male Basketball and have dominated the field since winning Gold at the 2016 edition held at the University of Education-Winneba.
Aside Basketball, athletes will compete in football, hockey, table tennis, volleyball, netball, track and field; 11 universities will compete in the next edition with debutants Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) and Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
