2019 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I Most Valuable Player Suleman Abubakar is set to compete in the Slam Dunk Contest of the Africa Basketball Festival.
The Festival takes place on December 24 at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Ghana’s capital, Accra and is a mix of basketball, music and food.
An All Star Game between Accra and Tema is scheduled to headline the event and one of the ancillary events is the Slam Dunk Contest.
Braves of Customs Center Abubakar is part of a three man roster to represent the Accra Team in the much anticipated contest with Steven Foster of Tudu Magic and James Amotoe of Reformers of Prisons also competing.
Abubakar was part of Braves team that recently won the 2019 ABL following a 60-56 win over Adenta Leopards in Game 3 of the Finals Series.
All three contestants will feature in the All Star Game for Accra; Abubakar is a former MVP winner at the Ghana Basketball Awards.
