Tema Youth after Gombe Bulls game

Ghana’s representative in the Temple Jam Basketball Tournament in Lagos, Nigeria-Tema Youth-has completed its run in the competition in sixth place.

Tema Youth lost its fifth and sixth classification game 66-67 against Oluyole Warriors at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos; the competition is privately run.

Ebun Comets beat Delta Force 65-64 in the 7th and 8th classification games with the likes of Gombe Bulls, Flames and Porters set to compete in the top four classification games.

Tema Youth lost 53-67 to Comets after the game was tied at 33 at half time; the loss meant Tema missed out on progressing from the preliminary stages.

The Emmanuel Quaye led team has been in Nigeria since Monday after wrapping up play in the 2019 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I season.

Tema ended the season in fourth place after suffering a 64-74 loss to Ghana Fire Service in the playoffs; Braves beat Tema 87-72 in the first round of the ABL playoffs.
