2019 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division Champions Ghana Police Service gets to lift the title later tonight at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.
The League trophy named in honour of departed basketball icon Matthias Ocloo, is to be presented to the back to back champions.
The presentation is set to take place at the same venue that had Police complete its two game sweep to win the championship; Police beat Braves of Customs 80-59 in Game 2.
Game 3 in the Men’s Division Playoff Finals between Braves and Adenta Leopards tips off at 17:00 GMT and Police title is to be handed over to the team immediately after.
Police had a brilliant series after going through an okay campaign in the Regular Season that had the team lose all three games to Braves.
However, the team stepped up in the postseason and delivered on the biggest stage for another league title. To do that, Police needed a 25 point outing from Queen-Eze Dadzie including converting seven three point shot attempts.
Georgina Ntow registered 12 points, an assists and 13 rebounds, Barikisu Sadat added 14 points, five rebounds and seven assists.
Braves Center Gloria Gyampoh led her team with 14 points, three assists and four rebounds.
