Ghana Police Service and Braves of Customs renew its strong rivalry tonight at 19:00 GMT at the Prisons Court for the Matthias Ocloo Trophy.
The Trophy is to the winner of the 2019 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division; the title was recently named after basketball legend Matthias Ocloo by the league.
The winner is to be decided in a best of three game series between the two top sides in the Women’s Division. Reformers of Prisons and Ghana Fire Service will play for third place.
Defending League Champions Police and multiple time league champions Braves have been engaged in a long standing rivalry that has produced interesting matchups and results.
After an outstanding 2018 season that had Police not only win the league title, Police beat Braves to clinch the CAP7 Memorial Tournament.
The tables have turned in 2019 with Braves dominating the division en route to a flawless record in the regular season. Customs also beat Police 31-29 to win this year’s CAP7.
