Ghana's Braves of Customs competed in BAL qualifiers in 2019

Braves of Customs is set to be engaged in its first game later this week since returning from competing in Basketball Africa League (BAL) qualifiers in Cotonou, Benin.

Customs competed in Group B of the competition’s preliminary qualifiers to the Elite 16 stage but missed out on progressing from the Group.

Braves beat Abidjan Basketball Club 56-53 in its final qualifier but lost all three prior matchups; Abidjan from Ivory Coast and AS Nigelec from Niger progressed from the Group.

On Saturday, November 9 at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu, Braves will play close rival Tema Youth in the first round of the 2019 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I playoffs as it turns its attention on continuing its dominant run on the local scene.

Braves ended the regular season with the first seed and went unbeaten in 16 games amassing 32 maximum points in the process.

Tema Youth relied on a three game winning streak to make the postseason after beginning the second round with five straight losses.
