The 2019 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Playoffs will commence on Friday, November 8 Basketballghana.com can confirm.
The Lebanon House Court in Tudu will host the first round of games which are to be played in single elimination formats in the Men’s Division I and Women’s Division respectively.
Winning teams will compete in the Finals in a three game series; Prisons Court in Cantonments will host games in the postseason.
Defending champions Braves of Customs will compete against close rival Tema Youth in the first round in a clash between the first seed and fourth seed respectively.
Braves recently returned from competing in the Basketball Africa League qualifiers in Cotonou, Benin; the team missed out on progressing to the next stage.
Ghana Fire Service plays second seed Adenta Leopards to wrap up games in the Men’s Division first round. Leopards missed a golden chance to beat Braves in the regular season; Customs went unbeaten in the regular season.
Braves play Reformers of Prisons and Ghana Police Service take on Ghana Fire Service in the Women’s Division.
