Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (PRESEC) Legon has beaten Presbyterian Senior High School (PRESEC) Osu in the Boys Division of the Accra Mayor’s Cup.
Legon beat Osu 20-15 to win the battle of the PRESECANS at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra in an interesting matchup that was tied at 7 at half time.
PRESEC Legon took an 11-7 lead early in the second half thanks to converted free throws from Shooter Adriano and David Quaynor.
A deep shot from Eric Asare made things interesting down the stretch but PRESEC Osu missed good looks at the rim on fast break opportunities to take the game’s lead.
PRESEC Legon has qualified to compete in the final against St. Thomas Aquinas who beat Sacred Heart Technical Institute 18-5 earlier in the day.
In the Girls Division, Accra Wesley Girls High School beat St. Mary’s Senior High School 19-2 to reach the final. Wesley Girls take on West Africa Senior High School in the final game.
The Accra Mayor’s Cup is being held in honour of Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) Mayor Mohammed Adjei Sowah.
