Tema Rockets vastly experienced players got the better of Sakumono Titans young group to maintain its top three rank in the ongoing 2019 Tema Community Basketball League.
Rockets beat Titans 48-29 at the Tema Community 4 Court this past weekend to reduce Titans chances of making the playoffs.
Both teams scored their opening baskets from three point range and Daniel Amartey added another three pointer. Ibrahim Baba scored consecutive baskets inside the paint including a layup off a brilliant feed from Ebenezer Borsah.
Johnson Okoe delivered a vicious slam on a fast break and
scored a jump shot as Titans made a strong run. Eben Borsah scored a three
point shot from the corner to give Rockets a 15-14 first quarter lead.
Johnson scored a jumper to give Titans its first lead of the
game (17-15). A trio of three pointers from Eben Borsah late in the second
quarter gave Rockets a 24-19 lead.
Eben Borsah continued his strong performance from three point
range and Enoch Borsah delivered a two handed dunk off a brilliant feed from
Philip Amralo to give Rockets a 33-21 lead.
Rockets won 48-29 with Eben Borsah scoring another corner
three pointer and Amartey adding a long jump shot. Titans’ James Amotoh scored
a couple of shots from the free throw line before Sydney Larbie’s late three
pointer.
