In a fierce battle between 2017 league winners Tema Community 4 and reigning league champions Nungua Coldstore in the Tema Community Basketball League, Coldstore came out on top.
Nungua delivered a 38-31 win over the home side to maintain its record of losing just a game in 16 appearances all season.
Emmanuel Wolff scored the game’s first basket off a jump shot
before Kwame Boamah Djan and Nii Moi exchanged baskets. Djan scored another
layup after great ball movement from Coldstore to put Nungua up 6-3 at the end
of the first quarter.

Guba burying two free throws as his side trailed 11-15 at the end of the first
half.
Coldstore led 17-15 before Gerald Sappor twice in the paint
to stretch Nungua’s lead. Guba drained a jump shot during a very physical
stretch in the quarter where both teams struggled to score. Coldstore led 22-19
at the end of the third quarter.
