A nearly complete giant mural of Ghanaian BET Award winner Sarkodie adorns the Tema Community 4 Basketball Court ahead of the Highest Ball Tournament the accomplished rapper headlines.
Highest Ball is a one day basketball tournament to be staged at the venue popularly known as Chinese Court on Saturday, October 26.
Aside the eye catching mural, the playing surface at the venue is getting repainted as preparations wrap up for the competition’s first ever edition.
The tournament has been put together by Sarkodie’s team as part of activities to celebrate the “Azonto Fiesta” hit maker’s decade long stay in the music industry.
Basketballghana.com gathers eight teams will participate in the tournament including teams that feature in the Tema Community Basketball League.
The likes of Akatsi Rifles, Tema Community 4 and reigning Team League champions Nungua Coldstore form part of the eight team roster.
Aside producing a host of big name acts in the Ghana’s music industry, Tema is home to a long list of top basketball players.
