Tema Youth Basketball Club plays its final game in the 2019 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I Regular season game tonight at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.
The team has a lot riding on its matchup against Reformers of Prisons later today since it needs a win to progress to the postseason.
Tema has 23 points and ranks fifth in the league standings but is a point behind Adabraka CYO’s 24 points from 16 games. Tema has played in 15 regular season games.
A win moves Tema to 25 points and ahead of CYO; only the top four ranked teams will compete in this year’s postseason.
Braves of Customs lead the league and are followed by Adenta Leopards and Ghana Fire Service respectively in the standings.
Despite starting the second round of the season on a terrible run with five losses in a row, Tema has managed to right the ship just in time to salvage a largely disappointing season.
Ghana Navy plays Reformers in the Women’s Division at 17:30 GMT before Tema’s fixture tips off.
