The final round of games in the preliminary round of qualifiers for the Basketball Africa League (BAL) Elite 16 stage in Group D concludes tonight.

Group D games commenced on Wednesday, October 16 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania; BAL is a joint partnership between the NBA and FIBA Africa.

City Oilers from Uganda and Patriots Basketball Club from Rwanda have booked their places in the next stage heading to tonight’s games.

Patriots and Oilers have three wins apiece ahead of their showdown at 14:30 GMT to determine the team the tops the group.

Both teams qualification comes at the expense of home side JKT Club, Hawassa Club from Ethiopia, Dynamo Club from Burundi and Brave Hearts from Malawi.

Patriots recorded a 125-50 win over Hawassa to book its place in the next stage and Oilers joined after bagging an 85-56 win over JKT.

In Group C, FAP Basketball from Cameroon and Manga from Gabon occupy the top two spots respectively after three games in Libreville.

Ghana’s Braves of Customs is in Group C and will compete on October 29.
