Reformers of Prisons outfits competing in the 2019 Accra Basketball League (ABL) campaign were supposed to be engaged on Friday at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu but rainy weather prevented that.
The Men’s team had an outstanding game to clear against Tema Youth in the Men’s Division I and the Reformers Female Team had a matchup against Ghana Navy on the said day but both were postponed.
Unusually consistent rain this time of the year in Ghana has prevented a host of games from taking place at scheduled times forcing league officials to cancel and subsequently postpone them.
Venues for the league are unroofed making it difficult for games to go on as planned; the regular season should have been wrapped up and postseason started by now.
Basketballghana.com understands the cancelled games are to be cleared on Monday, October 21 at the same venue with other affected games set to be honoured in the coming days.
Braves of Customs Male and Female Teams lead the respective divisions.
