Award winning Sports event organizing firm Rite Sports Limited has rolled out its latest project after the announcement of the Accra Mayor’s Cup earlier this week.
Basketballghana.com reported on the company striking a new deal with the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) to unveil the novelty competition.
The one day tournament is a basketball competition to be held in honour of AMA Mayor Mohammed Adjei Sowah. There are extensive plans to expand the competition to include sports disciplines like football Basketballghana.com gathers.
The maiden edition of the tournament is to be held later this month at the Bukom Arena in Ghana’s capital, Accra with eight schools expected to compete.
Four Senior High Schools will play in the Boys Division and Four Senior High Schools will play in the Girls Division in a single game elimination format.
The competition forms part of Mayor Sowah’s vision to aid sports promotion and development especially among the city’s youth.
Rite Sports has a over a decade long experience organizing headline competitions like the Azumah Nelson Fight Night and Ghana’s biggest Senior High School basketball tournament-Sprite Ball.
