Three players including Ghana Center Amida Brimah have been cut from Indiana Pacers roster for the 2019-2020 NBA season Basketballghana.com can confirm.

The announcement was made in the aftermath of Indiana Pacers 111-119 loss to Minnesota Timberwolves in the former’s final preseason game. The loss was Pacers first in four preseason games.

Brimah and Guards C.J. Wilcox and Wade Lemon Jnr. were waived by Indiana ahead of the October 21 deadline in the NBA for final roster announcements. The Pacers had 20 players on its preseason roster.

25 year old defender Amida competed in two preseason games for Indiana both against Sacramento Kings. In his second appearance, he registered four points, four rebounds and two blocks in 12 minutes.

Brimah missed the final two preseason games before his release after signing a partially guaranteed one year deal with Indiana following his eye catching performances for Brooklyn Nets in this year’s NBA Summer League.

The former University of Connecticut shot blocker has an Exhibit 10 clause in his contract meaning he will earn $50,000 as bonus. Brimah has played the past two seasons in the NBA Gatorade League with Austin Spurs and won the 2017 league title.
