Ghanaian Basketball Club Braves of Customs has been included in the list of teams set to compete in the maiden edition of the Basketball Africa League (BAL).
The competition commences next year with the final set of games scheduled to be played at the Kigali Arena in Rwanda in March 2020.
However, the qualification games commence this week in several locations on the African continent and Braves will join 31 teams at the preliminary stage of the qualifiers.
Customs is scheduled to feature in the qualifiers from October 29 to November 3 in Cotonou, Benin per reports reaching Basketballghana.com
The multiple times Accra Basketball League winners are close to wrapping up another unbeaten regular season campaign and will soon compete in the postseason.
However, the first set of games in the first round of qualifiers take place on Tuesday, October 15 with the likes of DR Congo’s ASB Mazembe set to compete.
BAL is a joint venture between the NBA and Africa’s basketball governing body FIBA-Africa.
