Ghana’s Amida Brimah is on Indiana Pacers roster for the team’s upcoming friendly games against Sacramento Kings in Mumbai, India.
The NBA teams face off twice including today’s fixture at 13:30 GMT in preseason ahead of the start of the 2019-2020 NBA season on October 23.
Brimah is part of the Pacers 20 man playing contingent in the NBA’s first ever game in the Asian country; this is the latest venture by the league into India.
Pacers are in the Eastern Conference and tipped to make a deeper run in the playoffs than last season’s first round exit. However, Sacramento has a tough Western Conference to contend with.
25 year old Amida joined Pacers from Brooklyn Nets after impressing at this year’s NBA Summer League including a 14 point performance.
The former University of Connecticut Captain could make the final cut for Indiana should he impress in preseason. He played with San Antonio Spurs during last year’s preseason tour.
Brimah played two season in the NBA Gatorade League and won the 2017 title with Austin Spurs.
