Ghana Center Amida Brimah is in Mumbai, India with Indiana Pacers to compete in the NBA India Games Basketballghana.com can confirm.
Recently signed Brimah is part of the 20 man playing team the Pacers flew to India for the international friendly against fellow NBA side Sacramento Kings.
Indiana plays Sacramento twice in India on Friday, October 4 and Saturday, October 5 at the NSCI Dome as part of its preseason schedule.
The upcoming games are set to be the first NBA games to be played in India and comes at a time the world’s biggest basketball league continues to expand its operations into different countries.
25 year old Brimah joined Pacers after starring at the 2019 NBA Summer League held in Las Vegas with Brooklyn Nets. He averaged 6.2 points and 4.5 rebounds behind Nic Claxson and Jarrett Allen as the Nets made it to the semifinal stage.
Brimah is a national champion at the College level with University of Connecticut and won the 2017 NBA Gatorade League title with Austin Spurs. The 6 foot 11 inch player is known for shot blocking skills.
