Ghana born French International Shooting Guard Billy Yakuba Ouatarra led Monaco to its first win of the 2019-2020 French Pro A Basketball League.

The 27 year old Guard who has been on Brooklyn Nets roster scored 21 points in Monaco’s 80-56 win over Chalons in Monaco’s first game of the new season.

Monaco has had a late start to the season with the likes of league champions ASVEL playing three games already; the defending champions have won all three games thus far.

Aside scoring in double figures, Yakuba registered seven rebounds and assist in 32 minutes as a starter for the Principality outfit.

He was efficient shooting the ball as he converted three of five shots from the two point range and five of eight three point shots in the game.

Two other Monaco players scored in double digits in the game; Mickael Gelabale led Chalons in scoring with 20 points in the big loss.
