Braves of Customs continued its fine form in the 2019 season by delivering a big win in the last concluded round in the Accra Basketball League (ABL).
Customs beat University of Ghana (UG) 67-19 in the Women’s Division at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu recently.
The win came in Braves first league appearance following a 31-29 win over close rival Ghana Police Service to win the 2019 CAP7 Memorial Basketball Tournament.
Winning the CAP7 title at the expense of Police was the second victory for Braves this season and made amends for losing to the same side in the 2018 edition.
Braves have 12 wins in 12 appearances this season while UG has just a win to show for this season in 11 appearances. UG ranks bottom in the league standings.
In other results, Ghana Fire Service beat Ghana Police Service 75-68 while Reformers of Prisons recorded an impressive 54-50 win over Tudu Magic in the Men’s Division I.
The much anticipated clash between top two sides Braves and Adenta Leopards was rained off.
