Braves of Customs much anticipated matchup against Adenta Leopards in the 2019 Accra Basketball League (ABL) season has been cancelled.
The cancellation was down to heavy showers that hit most parts of Ghana’s capital Accra on Friday, September 27. The game was scheduled to be played at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.
The playing surface was soaked with rain making it very dangerous for players to compete on it; like most courts in Ghana, the playing surface is at the mercy of the weather due to the unroofed nature of such facilities.
Braves Basketball Club lead the league standings with 26 points and is yet to lose in 13 appearances this season; the team won last year’s title with an unbeaten record.
Leopards on the other hand, have been impressive gaining promotion to the league in 2017; the team placed second last season behind Braves.
Adenta’s form has improved this year with the team ranked behind Braves in the league standings with 24 points on top of winning the 2019 CAP7 Memorial Basketball Tournament.
