Thanks to a hard fought 31-29 win in the 2019 CAP7 Memorial Basketball Tournament this past weekend, Braves of Customs Female Team got another win over bitter rival Ghana Police Service this season.
The win picked up at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu was Braves second victory over Police in two games between the top sides.
In the first round of the ongoing Accra Basketball League (ABL) season, Braves beat Police 56-46 in the first meeting. Later that day, Braves Men’s Team delivered 61-45 win over Police.
The teams are due to meet again in the league’s upcoming round of games; a win for Police could tie the league series at 1-1.
In the 2018 season, Police dominated Braves to the tune of three wins in three face offs; Braves lost twice in the league and 27-39 in the CAP7 Final.
Police would go on to win the league title and the first ever CAP7 title; Braves lead the league with Police in second place.
