Ghanaian-Italian Small Forward Awudu Abass did not impress for Germani Brescia in the first game of the season in the Italian Serie A Basketball League.
The 26 year old had a rough shooting night as Brescia beat Reggio Emilia 99-74 to get the season off to a winning start. Abass played 22 minutes in the game.
He however, finished with five points, a steal, an assist and three rebounds and converted just two eight attempted shots in the matchup.
Abass, who also plays Shooting Guard, converted one of three attempts from two point range, one of three attempts from three point range and was scoreless from the free throw line after two attempts.
Four players scored in double digits for Brescia including DeAndre Landsdowne’s 23 point performance to lead all players in scoring.
Kenneth Horton and Tyler Cain scored 15 points apiece. Abass has returned to Brescia after competing for Italy at the World Cup held in China and averaged eight points in 21 minutes.
