Registration of teams to compete in the upcoming GSP Basketball League is due to come to a close later today Basketballghana.com can confirm.
The registration process commenced on August 26 and teams that complete the process before 17:00 GMT become eligible to compete in the 2019-2020 league campaign.
The new season is due to start on October 12 with league games set to be played at the Sunyani Technical University (STU) Court.
A yet to be determined date in May next year has been scheduled as the end of the season; the new season is the fifth campaign since the league started in 2015.
Defending champions Young Boys Basketball Club is expected to register and compete for the chance to defend its title. Last season’s title was Boys first in its maiden run in the league.
The team was however made up of established players in the league including former league MVP Robert Brew and Player-Coach Andrew Quansah.
University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) and two time league winners Suncity Braves are expected to also register.
