Tema Wildcats run wild late to clinch a convincing 53-36 win over Teshie Rangers in a 2019 Tema Community Basketball League matchup played over this past weekend at Tema’s Community 4 Court.
The game failed to light up the court as both teams were culprits of several broken plays earlier on in the matchup unlike preceding games on the day.
The highlight play came in the final quarter when Alexander Tawiah, on a fastbreak, set up a two handed alley oop slam from Prince Gyamfi to give Wildcats a 44-30 lead.
Moses Azu drained a three pointer for the game’s first point.
Franklyn Addo scored for Wildcats to lead 14-9 after the first quarter.
Rangers moved the ball well in the second to score easy
layups inside the paint. Prince scored a three point shot to push Wildcats lead
to ten (27-17). Wildcats led 34-26 at the end of the third quarter.
Lewis Ansah scored a trio of three pointers to ice the win
for the young league debutants.
