2019 CAP7 Champions Braves

Members of finalists of the 2019 CAP7 Memorial Basketball Tournament, Ghana Police Service and Braves of Customs, dominate the tournament’s All Star team.

The recently concluded 2019 edition of the competition held to honour departed key personalities in Ghana basketball had Braves pip Police to the Women’s Division title courtesy a 31-29 win.

Unlike Police, Adenta successfully defended the Men’s Division title by beating home side Tudu Galaxy 60-45 in the final game.

Braves had three members in the All Star Team with the remaining spots handed to Police members Sadat Balkisu and Mavis Mantey.

Matilda Gordon, Gloria Gyampoh and Anita Bonney represented Braves in the team; Gyampoh was named Most Valuable Player in the competition.

All but Bonney made the All Star Team in the 2018 edition; Georgina Ntow of Police did not make the cut in this year’s competition.

Reformers of Prisons Guard Thelma and Ruth Atibila won the most Promising Prospect Award in the female division and Leopards Center Rashid and Guard Frederick Asante and Galaxy Point Guard Raymond Affram won the Award in the male division.
