This year’s edition of the CAP7 Memorial Basketball Tournament commences later today at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu with Ghana Fire Service playing home side Tudu Galaxy in the opening game.
The Women’s Division matchup is one four games scheduled to be honoured at the venue today; Fire’s game tips off at 16:00 GMT.
Both teams are included in the six team field in the Women’s Division that also has defending champions Ghana Police Service.
The game is to be followed up by three games in the Men’s Division with Galaxy’s Men’s Division II outfit set to play DUNK Knights.
Adabraka CYO plays Kawukudi Warriors in the third game on the day; Warriors recently replaced University of Ghana (UG) in the competition.
UG withdrew from the competition yesterday and Warriors were drafted in as a replacement; Kawukudi placed second in last year’s edition.
The final game of the day has Tema Youth taking on Junior Reformers; the former is expected to win the matchup. All games in the 2019 CAP7 Tournament are to be played in a single elimination format.
