Tema Youth Basketball Club has recorded its first win in the 2019 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division season second round.
The win comes after the team lost five straight games before beating Kawukudi Warriors 62-44 at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu on September 14.
Tema had lost to the likes of Braves of Customs and Tudu Magic in what turned out to be an opposite form guide to the on e recorded in the first round.
Beating Warriors gives Tema hope to make this year’s playoffs; the team has two games left to play this season. Tema will compete in the CAP7 Tournament in the next few days.
In other games honored in the division, Braves recorded a 50-37 win over Adabraka CYO to stretch its unbeaten run to 11 wins.
In the Men’s Division II, Panthers beat Kaneshie Swanlakers 56-43 while Junior Reformers beat DUNK Knights 59-52. In the Women’s Division, defending league champions Ghana Police Service run over Tudu Galaxy with 67-18 result.
