Tudu Magic’s winning streak in the second round of the 2019 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I season has come to an end.

After bagging back to back wins over Ghana Police Service and Tema Youth, Magic lost 45-53 to Ghana Fire Service earlier tonight at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.

Magic trailed 44-49 with 47 seconds remaining in the final quarter but wasted possession when a poorly executed pass failed to hit its intended target.

Fire Service made Magic pay as Jibril Mohammed and Emmanuel Ocquaye scored two points respectively to hand the win to Fire. Guard Dennis Dugbennu scored 10 points in the first quarter.

Tonight’s round was a bad one for Ghana Air Force as the Men’s and Female teams lost in the Men’s Division II and Women’s Division.

In the Women’s Division, Air Force lost 29-34 to Ghana Navy Service in the opening game before the Men’s team blew away a big chance to beat Novas.

Air Force led 42-41 with 1:48 minutes left to play in the game and got added four points to its tally thanks to shots from Sulley Wahab and Sampson Annan.

However, three point shots from Edem Dagadu and Nicholas Achiboye led Novas to a stunning 49-46 win.
