Braves of Customs are yet to lose a game in the 2019 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division season and maintained that record thanks to a big win over Ghana Fire Service.

Customs beat Fire Service 71-21 on Friday, August 30 at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu dominating the game from start to finish.

Fire had an arduous task to be the first team to beat the perennial league champions considering Fire had dropped some games before taking on Customs. Braves lead the standings ahead of last season league winner Ghana Police Service.

However, their task was made harder when Guard Carlyn Adjei injured her ankle with her side trailing 19-46. She couldn’t return to play and the extent of her injury is yet to be determined.

Braves got a bevy of jump shots from Forward/Center Gloria Gyampoh and easy layups after Fire turned the ball over in the fourth quarter.

Competition in the division continues later today as Ghana Navy takes on Tudu Galaxy at 15:00 GMT at the same venue.
