A clash between the older generation and young generation took place at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu earlier today in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II as University of Ghana (UG) faced off against Panthers.

Veteran side Panthers beat UG 48-44 in the best of three games played at the league venue; the loss is UG’s first in the 2019 campaign.

UG lived and died by the three point shot attempting many shots and Guards Aminu Habibu and Treasure Botchwey got a couple to fall.

However, Panthers made its experience count late in the game by holding on to a four point lead (46-42) with 1:02 minutes remaining to clinch the win.

In the Women’s Division, Braves of Customs dominated its opponent once again in the 2019 season by recording a 71-21 win over Ghana Fire Service who lost star Guard Carlyn Adjei to an ankle injury in the third quarter.

The final game of the round had Adenta Leopards beat Fire Service 68-51 in the Men’s Division I; Leopards remain firmly in second place behind league leader Braves of Customs.
