Two time Olympic Female Basketball gold medalist Angel McCoughtry has opined hosting a basketball camp in Ghana was a learning experience that “taught her more”.

In an exclusive chat with Basketballghana.com, the Atlanta Dream veteran Forward touched on varied issues ranging from the WNBA to her playing career. She further highlighted the most important thing she picked up from the camp.

“They (camp participants) taught me more. They taught me to appreciate more because they want that opportunity” she said.

On her maiden trip to the West African nation, McCoughtry headlined the first ever all girls basketball camp in Ghana. The event was held at the Tema Community 4 Court in Ghana’s capital Accra.

On her return to the US, McCoughtry’s task is to sort out her future since her contract is close to running out.

She addressed that stating, “Beyond next season is 50-50 we will see. Right now I just want to get back on the court first and then I can start talking to see whether I am going to stay or am going to move to another team”.
