Atlanta Dream and WNBA star Forward Angel McCoughtry has stated her immediate plans on her return to the United States of America.

In an exclusive chat with Basketballghana.com on her visit to Ghana, the five time All Star opined she plans to play before the 2019 regular season concludes. She said:

“My expectations have been succeeded we put together a basketball camp in four days I got to mingle with the girls…in a short amount of time, I got to do so much. Once I go back to the States I am going to continue training because you know I tore my ACL so I am going to play the last game of the season (on) September 8 and then I am going to prepare for USA Basketball which is for the Olympics (2020).”

McCoughtry has missed the entire season due to the injury and her absence has impacted Atlanta Dream; the team has seven wins and 22 losses this season and will miss the playoffs.

Atlanta has won two straight games in the league and is scheduled to play Phoenix Mercury on Thursday, August 29. The team plays New York Liberty on September 8 in the season finale.

McCoughtry is has won gold at the Olympics with Team USA and organized an all female basketball camp in Ghana.
