Basketball Pundit Sandy Asiedu has hailed the historic female first basketball clinic in Ghana after the successful Angel McCoughtry led Clinic was held recently.

The event took place at the Tema Community 4 Court with several young girls participating alongside established names in the sport on the Ghanaian scene and the five time WNBA All Star McCoughtry.

Speaking to Ghana’s leading basketball portal, Priceless Life Entertainment’s Asiedu was ebullient about the clinic. He said:

“For us in Tema, it was historic to have the first WNBA player visit…and I want to thank all the Coaches who supported to make this happen, the Tema Basketball Association members, Mr. Iddrissu Ayambire, Coach Lawal and Coach Hashim of Tudu Galaxy for their support”.

The Clinic’s “girls first” theme led to the event termed the Girl Power Basketball Clinic and is the first basketball event in the West African nation to be led by a WNBA player.

McCoughtry has played nine seasons in the WNBA with Atlanta Dreams and has playing experience in Russia and Hungary.
