The youth movement in Ghana’s basketball circles has been front and center this week with a host of events highlighting the moments.

This past weekend had DC Dynamics travel to Benin and represent Ghana at the United Basketball Africa tournament in Porto-Novo.

Dynamics participated in the competition for the second year in a row with its juvenile side taking center stage in the international competition.

In Ghana’s capital, Accra former NBA player Pops Mensah-Bonsu organized a two day basketball camp for individuals between 12 and 18 years.

Mensah-Bonsu is the General Manager of NBA Gatorade League side Capital City Go-Go and recently appointed Basketball Africa League Vice President of Operations John Manyo-Plange attended the event.

Later today, WNBA star Angel McCoughtry will headline a basketball camp at the Tema Community 4 Court with the camp placing special emphasis on developing female players.

McCoughtry arrived in the West African country on Thursday, August 22; the 32 year old is five time WNBA All Star and has won multiple titles with Team USA.
