Five time WNBA Forward Angel McCoughtry is expected to arrive in Ghana later tonight ahead of a basketball camp she is scheduled to headline.

The Camp is the first in Ghana with a WNBA player as the lead instructor and is to be held at Tema’s Community 4 Court on Friday, August 23.

Her visit comes on the heels of former NBA player Pops Mensah-Bonsu’s Basketball Camp held in the West African nation’s capital, Accra this past weekend.

Unlike previous camps, tomorrow’s event places special emphasis on developing females in the sports and registration is free to prospective participants and open to girls above four years old.

Basketballghana.com gathers established female players in Ghana will join McCoughtry as instructors for the event including Accra Basketball League duo Carlyn Adjei and Matilda Gordon.

McCoughtry has spent all nine seasons in the WNBA with Atlanta Dream and has won two FIBA World Cup and Olympic Gold medals respectively with Team USA. Tema’s Community 4 Court host Tema League games on Sunday’s.
