Former winner of the Ghana Basketball Awards Most Valuable Player Prize Matilda Gordon has expressed her readiness for the upcoming Angel McCoughtry Basketball Camp.
The event takes place on Friday, August 23 at the Tema Community 4 Court with McCoughtry expected to headline the Camp.
The multiple time WNBA All Star is expected to touch down in Ghana’s capital Accra later tonight before leading Ghana’s camp with special emphasis on girls.
Gordon has been penciled as one of the instructors for the camp along with established names on the Ghanaian circuit. In an exclusive chat with Basketballghana.com, Gordon stated:
“This is the first time…and I entreat all ladies to come and participate in this program (camp). It is happening live at the Tema Chinese Court-Community 4 Court”.
Gordon won the 2016 MVP Award after leading dominating the Accra Basketball League with Braves of Customs and has since won multiple league titles with the team.
McCoughtry has won two Olympic gold medals with Team USA.
