Girls are entreated to participate in the Angel McCoughtry Basketball Camp on Friday, August 23 at the Team Community 4 Court in Ghana.

Multiple time WNBA All Star Forward McCoughtry is expected in Ghana on Thursday prior to the unique camp which is the first to be headlined by a WNBA player.

The Atlanta Dream veteran leader is in line to be assisted by Ghanaian female basketball players including Matilda Gordon of Braves of Customs and Carlyn Adjei of Ghana Fire Service at the Camp. The camp places a special emphasis on girls older than four years and registration is free.

Speaking to Basketballghana.com exclusively in the aftermath of the announcement, Priceless Life Entertainment Sports Coordinator, Sandy Asiedu stated:

“Doing this is as part of the Year of Return but this time with special emphasis on the women’s game…This is for the girls so they should come out in their numbers to be part of this-camp”.

McCoughtry is also a two time Olympic and FIBA World Cup gold medal winner and has played all nine seasons in the WNBA with Atlanta Dream.
