Reports gathered by Basketballghana.com indicate SEED-Sports for Education and Development-Project could be launched in Ghana in the near future adding a branch to its base in Senegal.

The reports surfaced after a statement was made on the institute’s official Twitter handle during the recently ended Pops Mensah-Bonsu (PMB) Basketball Camp in Ghana’s capital Accra.

The PMB Camp was a two day basketball training and mentorship exercise that had over 100 girls and boys below 18 years participate for free.

In congratulating former NBA player Mensah-Bonsu for launching the program, the official word on SEED Project’s stated:

“SEED Family in Ghana. Exciting news coming out of Ghana from Capital City Go Go GM and SEED Family’s Pops Mensah-Bonsu-SEED Academy to be launched in Ghana. Stay tuned for updates”.

No further details have been shared with the camp ending on Monday, August 19 at the International Central Gospel Church Court in Accra.

After wrapping up a nine professional playing career, Mensah-Bonsu was appointed General Manager of NBA Gatorade League side Capital City recently.

SEED Project operates a basketball Academy in Senegal and was founded by Basketball Africa League (BAL) President Amadou Fall.
