The maiden edition of the Pops Mensah-Bonsu Basketball Camp ended on Monday, August 19 at the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Court.
The first ever Camp headlined by former NBA player Pops Mensah-Bonsu in Ghana’s capital Accra came to a close after two days of intense training and mentorship.
Boys and Girls who participated in the event were between ages 12 and 18 years and were charged no fees for their participation. The event commenced on Sunday, August 18.
Several Coaches including two time Ghana Basketball Awards Coach of the Year winner Brimah Lawal, Ghana Basketball Association Vice President Iddrissu Ayambire and Aggrey Memorial Mount Zion Trainer Alfred Davis attended the event.
Former Louisville University player Alhaji Mohammed, Basketball Africa League Vice President and Head of Strategy John Manyo-Plange and TV Personality Joselyn Dumas were also present at the venue.
In his recently appointed role as General Manager of NBA Gatorade League side Capital City Go-Go, Mensah-Bonsu is expected to return to the United States ahead of the upcoming season.
